But will it be only “the best of”, a reminiscence of unforgettable concerts, maybe a revision of artistic phenomena that once delighted us – no more and no less than the gala of galas? Finis coronat opus, “The End” is a crowning touch to all the work? We know it, we have listened, so can we go home satisfied?
Not exactly, not here… Wojciech Kościelniak offers us another interpretative key. He talks about the inspiration taken from the books of the Israeli historian and thinker, Yuval Noah Harari. His “Sapiens”, the history of our species from the cave age to genetic engineering, tells us how humans want to match their image of gods, without knowing where they are heading. The world bestseller, which had also inspired Ridley Scott, became the basis for reflections on the end. The end of the world as we know it – so maybe also the end of our civilization, the species…
But the end may turn out to be a breaking point, the beginning of a new path. Also in the context of the festival jubilee. Let us stay with this hope, understanding famous songs as new stories about ourselves – about people.
Welcome to “The End” – the clou of the program, the accumulation of talents, emotions highlighted with a triple line and with color.
