    TROLOLO – BRIGHTEST MESSAGES

    FOR VIEWERS 16+ (VULGARITY)

    NOTE: STROBOSCOPE AND SMOKE

BY MAŁGORZATA WOJCIECHOWSKA AND MACIEJ ZAKRZEWSKI

    Are you sitting comfortably?

Is an open laptop already waiting for you?

    Is the phone fully charged?

Have you made sure nobody can see you?

Can you feel the tingling sensation of excitement in the tips of your fingers?

Have you found some nigger, woofter, dyke, Jew, wog, artist, leftie, fatty, redhead, feminist?…

    You have? Go on, then!

Come join us on our journey through cyberspace, a giant slalom among insanity, complexes and phobias. Emotions and high doses of adrenalin guaranteed.*

The project resulted from reflection on the sources of cyberviolence and fear of what an anonymous hater’s activity may cause. The entire content of the production is composed of Internet posts, comments and memes found online.

*…but no euphoria on the finishing line

We are fortunate to be friends with a similar platform of understanding in terms of music and theatre space. Our artistic collaboration goes back to the time when we were 20-year-old snotnoses, performing at song festivals, getting lost on the way, enjoying our first fees and altered states resulting from spending the money immediately on life’s little pleasures. After fifteen long years, by pure chance and to our utmost delight, we were both cast in Julia Holewińska’s “Kalkstein/Black Sun”, directed by Joanna Grabowiecka. The production was soon scrapped by the disgruntled local authorities, but we both felt we needed to fill the void, so we decided to prepare a performance for the OFF competition of the Review.
